  2. Early Life • Wilbur was born in 1867, then died in 1912. • Orville was born in 1871, then died in 1948. • They lived in Dayton, Ohio. • They were brothers, and they were known to build the first flying machine.

  3. 1893 • They opened up a bike shop. • They built an engine for their glider.

  4. More About Wilbur and Orville • Wilbur died before Orville. • They opened a bicycle shop. • Then they built their first glider. • Then they built an engine for their glider. • They made their first power flight on December 17 in 1903.

  5. 1902 • Glider flew for the first time • It was a successful flight!

  6. 1903 -Orville made the world’s first powered flight. -He made it at Kitty Hawk.
