  3. Why come on the trip? • To practice French in an authentic setting • To develop leadership skills • To hear new French accents • To meet new people from around the world • To strengthen current friendships • To make lifelong memories • TO HAVE FUN!

  4. Cost The trip willcostaround $300. This willinclude the cost of : • Food (except for one bagged lunch) • Bussing • Programming • Accomodations There is a $20 deposit due before Christmas break to reserveyour spot. Wewill have a definitepricesoon. There willbeopportinity to fundraise.

  5. University Life 101 • Eachmorning, teacherswillwakestudentsaround 7:30. • Showers are sharedbetween about 8 people. • Activitieswillbeginafter breakfast. Sometimestheywillbe in a large group and sometimesdividedintosmaller groups. • There willbeverylittle free time. • Studentswillenjoymealsat the cafeteria, wherethere are manyfood options to choosefrom. • Around 10 o’clock, studentsshouldbe in theirrooms, with the lights out. • Boys and Girls willbeseperated and will not beallowed in eachother’srooms. The common room willbeused for social gatherings.

  6. French Rule • Students are expected to speak French at all times on the trip. From the moment they arrive atRedcliffuntil the moment thatwe return to Redcliff, thereshouldbeNO English. • The Universitypolicyisthatthere are 3 warnings • After 3 warnings, youwillbe sent home

  7. Journal • Each night aftersupper, students return to theirdormrooms and write in theirjournals. A dictionary and writingutencilswouldbeuseful to bring for thisassignment. • Anystudents not attending the trip, willberequired to complete a similarassignment to reachoutcomesthatwillbecoveredduring the trip.

  8. Activities • Swimming • Sports • Bon Fire (weatherpermitting) • Beach Walk • Crafts • Entertainment • IceCream Shop • Campus Tour • Tour of the OldestWooden Church in NorthAmerica • Dance • …AND MORE!

What to bring? • Sneakers • A Towel or 2 • A bathing suit (one-piece for girls) • Weather appropriate gear (We will be outside A LOT!) • An extra set of clothes • Bathroom essentials (Shampoo, soap, toothpaste, etc… • Any medications should be placed in a ziplock bag along with detailed instructions and given to homeroom teachers prior to leaving. • Please pack light because we have so many students and not a lot of space on the busses for luggage.

  10. Technology • Currently, students are allowed to bring an i-pod or an e-reader on the bus. Whenwe stop for lunch, theywillbeplaced in ziplockbags and given to teachers. Teacherwill return them on the way back to Redcliff. • Cell phones are not permitted on the trip. • Cameras maybebrought, but we do take a group photo at the end and give a copy to eachstudent.
