I will also be working with each student to see what words he/she can read on the Dolch List. (Words should have already been mastered. Writing: We will be begin developing strategies for our narrative writing. Test/ Project Dates: -Spelling Test Friday, Aug 22 -Math Test Friday, Aug 22 Complete Subject/Complete Predicate Test Thursday, Aug 21 -Character Trait Test Thursday, Aug 21 Shared Reading/Language: We will be reading the books Skippy Jon Jones, Alexander and The Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day, A Days work Skill Lesson: Character traits, complete subject, complete predicate and sequencing Thinking Maps: Tree Maps Math: Place value, compare and order numbers, base ten blocks, counting Skill: /i/, /ou/, /ow/ Frequent Spelling Spelling/Vocabulary:along, while, might, next, sound • Reminders/Notes • I already love your children! Each one is so unique and precious! We are going to have an amazing year!
