  1. A Positive Sense of Self

  2. Positive Self Talk • Makes you feel good about yourself. • Not bragging or putting other’s down. • Helps build up your Health Triangle. • Important for good health.

  3. Negative Self Talk • Makes you feel bad about yourself. • Puts yourself down. • Helps chip away at your Health Triangle. • Not good for your health.

  4. What’s the Difference? Bragging: Acting as if you are “better than” someone else. Self Worth: Appreciating what you do well.

  5. Remember… • People who like themselves are more likeable to others. • What you THINK (self talk) makes a difference in what you do and how your feel. Add IMAGERY / VISUALS to the self-talk.

  6. Remember… • You need a healthy relationship with yourself in order to have them with others. • Positives from others can help a person’s sense of self – reach out and be friendly!

  7. The end. 

  8. Write a question that has a “YES” answer • Share question • Same question? • Same language/alphabet? • No “wrong” questions.

  9. True or False: I wanted to share my question. Why? • Did you think your question was BETTER than someone else’s? • Did you think your question was WORSE than someone else’s?
