  1. CAO: Offer of Places &Deferral Getting, accepting or deferring an offer of a place in college

Offers of Places • Offers may be viewed and an acceptance of an offer may be made online at: www.cao.ie. • Round One offers will be available on the CAO website from 6.00am on Monday 22nd August 2011. • First Round Offers should arrive by post on Monday 22nd of August 2011. • The Reply Date for acceptance will be 5.15pm on Monday 29th August 2011.

  3. Offers • Round Two offers will be will be available on the website from 6.00am on Friday 28th • Round Two offers should arrive by post on Friday 28th August. • The Reply Date for Round Two offers will be Wednesday 2nd September.

  4. Accepting a Place • You may be offered two places – one from on your List of Level 6/7 Courses and one from your List of Level 8 Courses. • You can only accept one place. • You can do this online at www.cao.ie or by post using the offer notice you receive. • Accepting a place lower than your top choice does not rule out the possibility of being offered one of your higher choices if the points fall on the next round

  5. If you intend to Defer • If you intend to defer the course you were offered do not accept the offer (See Deferral)

  6. FINAL REMINDER • IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU OR SOMEONE APPOINTED BY YOU IS AVAILABLE TO DEAL WITH THE OFFERS WHEN THEY COME OUT • I WILL BE AVAILABLE IN THIS SCHOOL FROM 1.30 - 4.00 PM ON TUESDAY 23rd AUGUST 2011
