  1. Arlington Top Searched ZIP Code For Homes For Sale The North Texas housing market has been booming for a while and several cities made the most search ZIP codes of 2016 list recently published by Realtor.com including Arlington (76014), Dallas(75234) and Plano(75023). The Lone Star State swept the competition by taking all top ten spots on the list for 2016. Some metrics that led to the domination of the Dallas area on the list include available homes for sale, market days and job growth. North Texas home sales are at a record high this year, up 26 percent in November from a year earlier. And the median price of homes sold in the area has set a new peak of $225,000 through the first 11 months of the year according to Realtor.com. “The Dallas metroplex—the conglomeration of 13 counties in North Texas that encompasses Dallas, Fort Worth, and all their many suburbs—is enormous,” said Realtor.com. “It’s larger than the area of Rhode Island and Connecticut combined. Space and large amounts of available housing stock play dual roles in the area’s popularity.”

  2. Despite having housing subdivisions appearing overnight, demand for houses in the DFW area is still greater than the supply.
