  2. Early Life • Shakespeare was born in 1592 in the Harvard House. His parents are John Shakespeare and Mary Arden. William’s parents are from a

  3. Marriage • Shakespeare married Anne Hathaway on November 27, 1582.

  4. Family William’s mom was Mary Arden. Shakespeare’s dad was John Shakespeare. William Shakespeare’s wife was Anne Hathaway. Shakespeare had 7 brothers and sisters.

  5. Career Shakespeare wrote at least 36 plays. By 1592 Shakespeare was recognized as a successful actor.

  6. The Plague • Shakespeare lived in London most of his life and had a little to do with Stratford.

  7. The Globe Theater • The Globe Theater was the place were they showed Shakespeare’s plays. We all know that William’s plays were pretty.

  8. The Fire • The fire burned his house down.

  9. William Retires • He retired from the theatre to his native Stratford sometime between 1611 and 1613- -having bought a large house called “New Place”.

  10. William Dies • Shakespeare died on his 52nd birthday on April 23rd, 1616 in Stratford.
