  7. The Curriculum Guide is to be used throughout the year. • It allows your students to have access to the GPS standards and will hit the needed standards for GAA evidence. • Most of the materials are made and posted on the blog or DOE resource board for the items posted on the curriculum guide.

Unique Learning System • http://www.uniquelearningsystem.com/Default.aspx • Each month a new monthly thematic unit and contains all the materials needed including leveled reading books. • The units are centered on a science or social studies topic and incorporate reading, writing and math. • There are 27 monthly lessons in each grade band which are aligned with content standards and differentiated into three levels of participation (Student profiles can be created to guide instruction. • Online progress monitoring and much more is provided in this curriculum.

The GPS Resource Board contains: • Activities and materials for use with students with significant cognitive disabilities across grade levels and curricular areas • Resources (internet, literature, etc.) to provide access to the general education curriculum • Adapted stories for all grade levels and directions on acquiring adapted literature • Data Sheets • Question & answer section for teachers to post questions and receive responses • Georgia Alternate Assessment (GAA) suggestions/tips • Georgia Project for Assistive Technology (GPAT) information
