  3. Warm Up # 3 • What are some inorganic molecules? What do they do? • Why is water so important to the human body? 3. What are the 2 types of proteins?

  4. Warm Up # 4 • What are the elements that make up the human body (most of it) ? • Draw and label a pH scale • What are the subatomic particles in an atom? • List 3 cell organelles and their function.

  5. Warm Up # 6 • What is the FDA and what are their responsibilities? • What do they NOT do? • What are some ‘issues’ with in today’s drug market process?

  6. Warm Up #7 • List the parts and function of the Integumentary System. • What system is represented to the right - what does it do? • Which system is responsible for the body’s metabolism? • Which system is responsible for homeostasis?

  7. Warm Up #8 • What is Homeostasis? • Put these in order: Tissue, Organism,Organ, Cell, Atoms, Organ Systems, Organic Molecules. (small to BIG) • Which 2 systems is the testicle part of?

  8. Warm Up #9 • List the opposite of the following: Lateral, Deep, Distal • Match these into 2 categories: Posterior, Front of body, dorsal, Back of body. Anterior, ventral. • What are some basic survival needs for living things?

Computer Activity Purpose of this Activity is to learn the Anatomical Terminology of the Body • There are 16 computers, so there will be 16 groups, (sigh) yes you may pick your groups. • You will use the “Body Diagrams” provided and using the Computer Activity – fill in the regions on your B.D. paper. • At the end of the Comp Act, -try taking the “Fill in Test” as a group with out using your notes.
