  7. Be Not Deceived

  8. I. Satan IS a deceiver and a malicious liar.

  9. Jesus identifies Satan as a liar. John 8: 44 You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liarand the father of lies.

  10. From the beginning to the end Satan is presented as a deceiver.

  11. . He is always contriving deceptive schemes .

  12. II. The process of Satan’s deceit He creates doubt ?

  13. Never Dialog With Satan. James 4: 7 ... Resist the devil and he will flee from you. II Timothy 2: 22 Now flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.

  14. By nature people don’t like restrictions. I John 5: 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome.

  15. Satan’s M.O. Never Changes. - The lust of the flesh - The Lust of the eye - The Pride of Life * We should instantly recognize it.

  16. III. Our frustration is multiplied by the fact that the greatest deceiver lives in us. .

  17. Jeremiah 17: 9-10 The heart is more deceitfulthan all else and is desperately sick; Who can understand it? 10“I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, even to give to each man according to his ways, .... .

  18. Man does not acknowledge his sin Luke 18: 11 The Pharisee stood and was praying this to himself: ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other people: swindlers, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. Proverbs 21: 2 Every man’s way is right in his own eyes.

  19. IV. We deceive ourselves, but Satan has also sent many deceivers into the world. .

  20. II Timothy 4: 3-4 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, 4 and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.

  21. We live in perilous times. II Corinthians 4: 3-4 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4 in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ,...

  22. John 8: 31–32 So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; 32and you will know the truth, and the truthwill make you free.” Do Not Be Deceived !

  23. Romans 1: 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, .... Do Not Be Deceived !
