Standards. Copy/Paste the list of standards into a word document. Then, print the list of standards and check them off or highlight each standard as you apply it. This will help you keep track of which standards you’ve used. Write your rationale for each standard in your narrative.

  1. Standards • Copy/Paste the list of standards into a word document. Then, print the list of standards and check them off or highlight each standard as you apply it. This will help you keep track of which standards you’ve used. • Write your rationale for each standard in your narrative.

  2. There are 27 Teacher Standards. College of Education Technology (COET) Standards Functional Skills & Dispositions (FSD) Standards Kentucky Teacher Standards (KTS) National Standards for Visual Arts Education (NSVAE)

  3. You will need to apply/use all 27 standards. You can apply up to 4 standards to each artifact. Apply each standard the number of times indicated.

  4. Please Note: • The following are just SUGGESTIONS of which standards may be best used where. The standards you choose to apply may be different or adjusted.

  5. You’re most likely to use the NSVAE standards for your own artwork. For TEP: You will upload 8-10 images of your artwork that represent a wide variety of mediums. There are 6 NSVAE standards. You may find that you can use FSD3, KTS1, KTS6, COET4, COET6. For Mid-Level Review: Artwork uploaded need to be NEW works or works that were not used for TEP admissions. You may again use FSD3, KTS1, KTS6, COET4, COET6 in addition to the 6 NSVAE standards.

  6. You might apply these standards to your Resume. FSD4, KTS10, & KTS8.

  7. You might apply these standards to your Teaching Philosophy Statement. • FSD1, FSD2, FSD5, KTS2, KTS3, KTS4, KTS5, KTS7, KTS9, COET1, COET2, COET3, COET5. • Remember that you can only apply 4 standards, so some of these may have to be shifted elsewhere (For Mid-Level Review students you’ll have other files that these can apply to).
