  1. Pielikums Nr.2-3 Iepirkums Publisko iepirkumu likuma 81.panta kārtībā „Interaktīvas interneta mājas lapas/e-muzeja izveidošana un uzturēšana Rēzeknes Augstskolas realizējamā Latvijas – Lietuvas - Baltkrievijas pārrobežu sadarbības programmas līdzfinansētā projekta „THE VIRTUAL PAST IS A KEYSTONE FOR THE FUTURE OF MUSEUMS”, LLB-2-269 ietvaros”, identifikācijas Nr. RA 2013/26 Arnets House Construction Game Explanations

  2. Short introduction • The user has to build the 17th century house choosing right material or detail (f.ex. – a fragment of wall, doors etc.) • If user chooses right material or detail, he/she gets some coins. If his/her choice is wrong some, he/she loses some of the earned money.

  3. Just an example – the image in left with a question mark shows an approximate place of an object. User has to choose from 8 images on the right. A player doesn’t see all images at once, so he/she has to scroll them using mouse or finger (if a touch-screen is available). A player, once selected an item, drags and drops it onto the image in the right. If clicked – nothing happens – in order to avoid accidental choice.

  4. If a player’s choice was wrong and there is just a beginning of the game (a player has no money at all yet), his/her count shows “00”. A player never gets less than 0 money. A player cannot go to the next level, until he/she manage to select the right material or element. Every time, when player mistakes – he/she loses some scores. A player can go to the next level only when he/she selects, drags and drops the right item.

  5. If a player’s choice is right – he/she gets some money (will be specified how much). On the left – an image with inserted object. On the right – short text, explaining the choice (not always – in some cases, a player just see the right element inserted and can go to the next level). In such cases (when there is no explanatory text, a player just see a new image on the left). Below – a button “Next”. In some cases – the picture on the left will not be changed. This is when a player has to choose first material and then an object itself – I will specify such cases. Text explaining the chosen item.

  6. The game has 34 stages – it means that a player will have to make 34 choices. There are 34 directories. In each directory there are 2 png images showing the house’s state before and after choice; and 8 png images – seven of them are wrong and the first one is right, f.ex. basement-1.png. In the game screen, these 8 png’s should be mixed – I mean – the right choise can be in positions from the 1st to the 8th. If there is an explanatory text – it will be in a particular directory as .txt file.

  7. A house of a rich Kėdainiai resident of the Scottish nationality John Arnet, built by local craftsmen in the central part of the town in the middle of the 17th century. In the 17th century in the houses construction local material was used: boulders, bricks, sand, lime, plaster and wood. Local material determined a method of construction, architecture and finish. Select material or an element, drag and drop of the a question mark. Build a house and see your results.

  8. Situation, where the image in the left does not change: a player must choose only material. Once he/she selects right material, the question mark disappears and a new stage starts (in this case – stage-012)

  9. Situation, where a player must choose an element. A player selects a right element. In this case, it is No 3. Drags and drops it on the question mark (onto an image).

  10. In this case, there is no explanatory text. A player can see an inserted element, gained scores and can go to the next level. At the end of the game a player can see how much money he/she has and what he/she would be able to buy at the Arnet’s shop. The text and image are not final version. As there are 34 levels and for each level user can get 5 points (5 pennies), so the maximum score is 170.
