  2. The Mid Term Note (MTN) is a medium-term flexible banking instrument that is traded and issued by financial institutions. These instruments are issued with a fixed payment for a particular period of time. Usually, the maturity period is about five to ten years. Unlike the other financial instrument which is issued only once, this MTN is issued continuously by the financial institution over the agreed period of time.The investment bank usually acts as a dealer who sells the notes to the clients or investors on the regular basis based on the maturity time. The medium term notes are usually used by large company owners and high-net-worth individuals. The client can repay the amount before the specified time as mentioned in the document.
