Understanding Cause and Effect in Reading Comprehension
This guide explains the concepts of cause and effect in reading. A cause tells why something occurred, while an effect describes what happened. Key clue words like "because" and "so" help identify these relationships, though sometimes clues may not be explicit. Additionally, effective readers know how to find answers to questions by looking for information in the text or making inferences. By asking "What happened?" and "Why did it happen?", readers can enhance their understanding and comprehension skills.
