  9. Guided Practice • Step 1 - find standards for your grade and cut them apart • Step 2 - eliminate duplicate ideas - keep the one with broader wording • Step 3 - sort using “enduring, need, nice” and tape on your chart - chunk like items in the same area • Step 4 - form Enduring Understandings

  10. Vertical Alignment • Identify flow of EUs from grade to grade • Create matrix of EUs and EQs

  11. Teaching and Tuning • How do the interactions you have with your students help you tune your unit?
