Surprises along the way Tele-Tracking System IT support Working from their homes Feel over burdened Tele-Tracking report enhancement not a high priority Resistance Lack of information regarding reports built by the vendor and if reports what department needs • Canned reports in use • Theme among high end users – no time to create custom reports and or lack of training to create reports. • Impression relationship with vendor went South when other departments added to soft-ware • Limited training received

  5. Surprises along the way Supervision of Patient Transporters Patient Transporters Signing into the system up to 15 minutes after punching in for work. Using generic codes for delays. Breaks occur during high volume time Some return from breaks and lunch later than allotted • Tele-Tracking feature to page supervision for delays. Job refused, etc not being utilized.

Financial Impact Delayed Available Status Returning from break and lunch later than expected Patients are delayed to appointments If appointment is rescheduled this may impact our length of stay and reimbursement received • Employee is paid after “punching in” • Delay of signing in by 15 mins equals lost productivity hours of the department

  9. Organizational vs. Employee • Organizational needs must be met, while keeping employee satisfaction elevated. • Engage employee and union officials in dialogue regarding the need for schedule changes.
