  3. What I Need From You • 1. Your Title • Should be descriptive and match your research questions • 2. Your Purpose • 3. Your Research Questions • Should be aligned with the purpose • 4. Bring potential instruments

  4. What you should walk away with • From the title, purpose, and research question we can create the operational definitions. • Write the general and specific research hypotheses and models required to test your questions.

  5. Past Problems Seen In Research • Design Issues in tracking participants • Not giving the patients unique identifying numbers • Only putting ID numbers on the first page • Technological differences • Instrument issues • Reliability and Validity (Does it match your sample) • Using different versions at different measurement points

However, over the next year or two I will continue holding several workshops like this per semester to help you brush-up on your research skills
