  3. Blue Bay Beach Blue Bay Beach is a large shady beach just northwest of Willemstad, near the village of Sint Michiel, with lots of facilities. It's popular with local families and visitors because of the soft white sand. The sea floor slopes gently from the beach, so children enjoy playing here. There are lounge chairs, palm trees, shade umbrellas, a nice bar and restaurant, a water sports center (diving and sea kayaking!), and a bikini shop. There is a children’s playground, a fairly large pool, and showers and toilets. On Sundays you can join a barbeque lunch. An admission fee for Blue Bay, Curacao is charged.

  5. Avila Beach Hotel The heart of the Avila Beach Hotel is a beautiful Dutch Colonial style mansion, which today houses the lobby and various executive offices of the hotel. It is estimated that the original mansion was built at the end of the 18th century. During the British rule at the beginning of the 19th century, it became the residence of the British Governors and later on that of the Dutch. The original part of the complex was called "La Belle Alliance".

  6. Queen Juliana Bridge Queen Juliana Bridge is a four lane road bridge across St. Anna Bay in Willemstad, the capital of Curacao and formerly, the Netherlands Antilles. The bridge is named after Queen Juliana of the Netherlands. The original bridge collapsed in 1967 and its replacement, the current bridge, opened on Queen’s Day, (April 30) 1974.

  7. Amstel Curacao Race ***Popular Festival***Every year on the first Saturday of November Curacao is dominated by the Amstel Curacao Race. This cycling event is internationally known as the closing of the street cycling season. During the week of the Amstel Curacao Race there will be many events around the race. There will be a tug of war, a water spectacle at the Olympic-size pool at Lion's Dive & Beach Resort, performances by well-known artists and The after party of the cycling season at Mambo Beach.

  9. Our People & Culture Museum Located in the Western part of Otrobanda, the Curacao Museum is housed in a colonial style building and conveys an air of authenticity at the very first glance. In this spacious museum the geological history of Curacao is displayed, as well as pre-Colombian Indian artifacts; maps and charts of America and the Caribbean region; professions the afro-Curaçaoan practiced after the abolition of slavery, their beliefs and mode of living, a traditional plantation kitchen; antique mahogany furniture (18th and 19th century) and paintings by local and international artist.
