  1. Quad Chart Guidance • Use the template on the following slide to prepare a synopsis of the proposed research effort. • Enter Project Title, PI, organization, and intended Thrust Area at the top center of the Quad Chart. Use Arial 24 point. • Complete allthe sections of the Quad Chart. • For a pre-proposal quad chart, provide an estimate of annual cost in thousands of dollars ($K) per proposed year of effort. • Except for the title, all text should be Arial 14 point, but may reduced to 12 point as needed. • Submit the quad chart with the pre-proposal white paper. If the pre-proposal is selected for a full proposal, you will be asked to modify the quad chart to better reflect the proposal content.

  2. Project Title (Arial Bold 24) Principal Investigator, Organization, Intended Thrust Area (Arial Bold 14) Objective: Brief statement outlining project objective. Description of Effort: A few sentences describing the scope of the work. Insert graphic illustrating project. Include caption or brief description Major Goals/Milestones by FY: List for each fiscal year of effort proposed Cost by FY: Beginning with the first FY of the proposal, state the cost $ in thousands (Note: Use estimated cost for pre-proposal; use fully burdened budget per proposed year of effort for proposal) Contact Information: PI name Address Phone & E-mail address Benefits of Proposed Technology: Insert brief description. Military Relevance: Insert brief description; note if it fills a known capability gap. Technical Approach: Insert brief description. Challenges: Insert brief description.
