Multi- institution Approach • New option for the 2012 SCP RFA • Do not know if it will be included in new SCP RFA • Includes a 1862 & 1890 collaboration • May be from the same state or different states
Advantages • Adds strength to proposal • Adds potential sites • Combined budget - double that of a single application • Potentially adds diversity to the participants • Potentially adds diversity to the team
Disadvantages • Both institutions must have the same program model – you have to agree. • Both institutions must be significantly involved. Is there infrastructure in both institutions? • Only one application is allowed per institution each year • If two institutions engage in this arrangement, it is the ONLY application that may go forward for each institution. • Different institutions have different rules on how to determine which proposals go forward.
