  2. Our Survey Statistics • We surveyed 37 boys and girls from Sheldon High School and got these results

  3. Classes People Have Cheated In • Our results show girls cheating more often in all classes than boys.

  4. What is Cheating? • There are many different forms of cheating. Cheating that occurs in our school, and it is a big deal. • At school, there are many ways that you can cheat. • All in all, cheating is morally wrong. and it can completely destroy your reputation if you are ever caught.

  5. Why Do People Cheat? • Statistics show that cheating among high school students has risen dramatically throughout the last 50 years. • Research about cheating among middle school children (Ages 12-14) has shown that there is increased motivation to cheat. • Thirty years ago, males admitted to significantly more academic dishonesty than females.

  6. What Are the Effects of Cheating? • When cheating is repeatedly successfully it can become a habit. Cheating or shortcutting on work in a business-like atmosphere can lead to serious professional problems. These events may appear exaggerated, but the ethic at work in these scenarios is the same as that in cheating.

  7. Conclusion • If the rate in which students are cheating in school continues to get higher, then our society will turn into a bunch of lazy people who don’t know how to do their own work.
