October 15th, 2012 Follow the directions listed below: • Notebook out & opened to NOTES section. • Write “Short Story Unit” at the top of a piece of paper in your NOTES section. • Record the title: The Most Dangerous Game on that sheet. • Then turn to the page immediately behind your “Short Story Unit” page and head it Settings

  3. Directions:Write one to five words that first come to mind when you see the following images. Try to use adjectives that describe the overall mood you associate with the image.

  13. What led you to assign the adjectives you did? • You have viewed a variety of settings. The setting is the time and place events (fictitious or real) take place. • So what may have led two (or more) people to see the same image and record a variety, sometimes opposing, adjectives? • We make inferencesbased on two primary factors that vary from person to person. • Context Clues • Life Experiences
