Teacher Preparation • Choose a WebQuest that matches curriculum & standards • Know the WebQuest’s process thoroughly • Prepare student materials to scaffold the learning (process guides) • Brainstorming • Evaluating Web Page Content • Interview Techniques • Time Management • Persuasive Arguments • Schedule computer access/lab time

Teacher Preparation • Lesson-planning • Introduce in class. • Determine amount of class time to be allocated. • Run WebQuest concurrent with in-class assignments. • Student groups • 1 technology expert (knows software necessary for final product) • 1 member with internet at home • Student assignments • Plan pre-teaching (scaffolding) lessons if necessary. • Before dismissing students to group work, be sure students know their “focus of the day” and what they must “check in” with by the end of class.

Email (beware of viruses) Printed/paper copy Local Area Network (LAN) Connection problems Internet down Links not working Blocked websites Student knowledge Navigating the internet Searching the internet Printing from the internet Technical Difficulties Expect technical difficulties & have a backup plan.
