SFU Community Programs: The Polis • What we learned: • Do some homework; have an idea of what you want your OLC to do before looking at designs • Murphy’s Law always applies • Build in contingency time • It pays to work with professionals • Always be ready to sell your vision • Community design is not static: be willing to see your vision change
