PSYCHOLOGIST • Jakob is not an adult, just an adolescent • He is still developing his character • He is not old enough to be treated as prosecutor proposes • Jakob needs atmosphere of trust • He has to be given the chance to open up • Psychological supervision can lead him back on the right track • He must be in focus of attention and needs individual support • He should be excluded of his surrounding

  3. STATE LAWYER • Protection of society against criminals • Make an example to determine others not to commit crimes • Satisfaction for victim • Jakob has already committed several thefts  no future chance • It was a really insidious attack

  4. JAKOB‘S LAWYER • youth criminality isn‘t solved with imprisonment. • In jail, his social and intellectual development is compromised • learns rules and to accept authorities in an educational camp • Resocialization difficult after jail recidivism

  5. EDUCATIONAL CAMP • Balance between punishment and support • Training against agressions • Creating a team spirit • Learning discipline and respect • Preparation for resocialization

  7. SET JAKOB FREE Jakob is forced to finish school but after a couple of months he attacks his classmates and teachers with his father‘s gun.

  8. SENDJAKOBTOEDUCATIONALCAMP After two months he suffers a relapse, goes back to his gang and starts commiting crimes again

  9. SENDJAKOBTOJAIL In jail, Jakob gets depressed, isolates himself and, in the end he kills himself in his cell.
