Introduction • For 2012/13 growing and selling season commenced in August 2012 • Mode of Registration Fox pro and Biometric. • Registered 57,900 growers • 33, 220 FoxPro • 24,680 biometric (new and renewals.) • Both Contract and Auction (Growers and Volume) • Growers • Contract 38,861 – (75%) • Auction 19,039 – (25%) • Volume • Contract 162,516,062 – (56%) • Auction 130,804,282 – (44%)

  5. 2013-14 Season • Commenced on the 19 August 2013 • all the TCC offices (MZ, LB, LL and KU) • Biometric system only. • Registered 2,249 growers(3 wks) • Both Contract and Auction (Growers) • Growers • Contract - 500 • Auction – 1749

  7. REGISTRATION MODE • Estates • Owners • Cooperate Estates • Clubs • Capture 3 with possibility of adding the rest later • All members can be captured at once when available • Contract Growers are advised to bring contract forms upon registering.

  8. MOBILE UNITS • Mobile Units • To ease the congestion • Ease of management • Get Closer to the Growers • Cut transport cost • At the moment one Centre operational • Mponela in Dowa • Daily average of 30 growers (Registration numbers) per day.
