Attendance and Punctuality( 1 ) For better discipline, the students should note the following points: Attendance and Punctuality • When a student has to take sick leave for onetotwo days, the parent should call the School Office(Tel. No.: 2384-1038) between 8:00am and 8:20am to inform our staff of such leave. The student should present his sick leave letter to the School Office when he returns to school. • If a student is absent 3 days consecutively, Office Staff will inform Form Teachers. Form Teachers may call parents to see the students’ situation. 2

Attendance and Punctuality( 2 ) Attendance and Punctuality • If a sick leave lasts for 3 days or more, the letter should be submitted together with relevant medical certification. • If a student is absent for 6 days consecutively, the Disciplinary Committee will report this to the Principal. • If a student wishes to leave school during school hours, he must obtain Express Permission from the School Office and hand it to the security guard when he leaves the campus. 3

Attendance and Punctuality( 3 ) Attendance and Punctuality • Students are expected to attend lessons punctually on school days. • Punctual attendance means arriving in the classroom before the beginning of each lesson(e.g. arriving in the classroom before 8:20am for the first period & 1:50pm for the seventh period). • If a student is late for school, he should obtain a late-slip before he enters the classroom. 4

Attendance and Punctuality( 4 ) Attendance and Punctuality • The Disciplinary Committee will issue a late-slip at the covered playground next to Room G26 to students who are late during the first period. • A student should obtain a late-slip from security guard at the covered playground if he is late at other times. • If a student is late for class, he should obtain a late-slip from the School Office. 5

Attendance and Punctuality( 5 ) Attendance and Punctuality • If a student is late four times, the Office Staff will SMS and inform parents about their son’s detention class which falls on Tuesday or Thursday. • If a student is late six times, the Disciplinary Committee will invite the parent to school and warn the student. • A warning letter will be issued if the student is late fourteen times a term. 6

  7. School Uniform( 6 ) School Uniform • Students should wear proper school uniform to school at all times. • Proper uniform means white shirt, medium grey trousers, the official school badge or school tie, plain black or brown shoes. • Students should have a neat and normal hair style. 7

  8. School Uniform( 7 ) School Uniform • Students should not wear sports shoes and sports jacket to school. • At P.E. lessons, proper sportswear should be worn. These should not be left in the classroom after school. • Students not having sportswear during P.E. lessons will be counted as absent. 8

  9. Electronic Gadgets & Mobile Phones( 8 ) Electronic Gadgets & Mobile Phones • Students are allowed to use their mobile phones at lunchtime and after school only. • During lessons, any electronic gadget or phone should be turned off at all times and not in view (that is, not on desks). • When a teacher spots a student using his electronic gadget in class, he should warn the student first. The teacher may take the gadget if the student continues to use it. The teacher should warn the student and return the gadget to him after school on the same day. 9

  10. Card Games( 9 ) Card Games • Students should not play card games during lessons and after school. • They can only play card games in the Bridge Club Practice Session every Thursday after school in 5S classroom. 10

  11. Form Coordinators( 10 ) Form Coordinators In order to help the students to know how to get help or assistance from the Disciplinary Committee, Form Coordinators were formed in different forms. 11
