  1. Social Worker HaouraRizk Introduction/Definition/What is the Job? Process Degree Required Social workers provide services to help people cope with and overcome challenges in their every life. They assist people in managing their daily lives, coping with issues, navigating relationships, and solving personal and family. Social workers make important contributions to society by working to improve the lives of individuals, families and groups. Social workers are employed in a variety of settings, including mental health clinics, schools, child welfare and human service agencies, hospitals, and private practices. They generally work full time and may need to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. To become a social worker you must have a four year degree. Many of the jobs available to social workers require a Masters degree. Once you have earned your MSW, you are required to become licensed by the State of Michigan. Applicants for a full MSW license must have a Master’s degree in social work from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education and 2 or more years (4,000 hours) of post-degree social work experience under the supervision of a licensed MSW . BSW, Bachelors in social work and a MSW; Masters in Social Work. Job Market Outlook Demand for Social work jobs are expected to rise between 2012 and 2022- 19% (Faster than average) Salary Median pay is about $21/hour or 44,000 a year Conclusion • I love being a social worker, but I only recommend it if you actually LOVE the field!
