Initial Network Setup • Plug the supplied network crossover cable into the RJ-45 receptacle on the left side of the Enhanced Control Processor Module on one end and into User-supplied Laptop computer network connector on the other end as shown in Fig 2 on the next page. • Bring up the PC’s browser and go to default IP Address of 192.168.1.206 (type “192.168.1.206” then enter, do not type http:// ) • A screen similar to the following should be seen: • User Page Features: • view number of participants in each conference room • view ports available for new participants • view total port capacity • view lead number information • automatically refreshed every 8 seconds FIG 1 User Page Confer III Flex Quick Start

close the browser • Bring up the PC’s browser again and go to the following IP Address: “192.168.1.206/mod/index.zhtml” • A screen similar to the following (FIG 3) should be seen: FIG 3 • enter “mod” for the User Name and “mod” for the password • click OK (note: you can change the mod password later) • The Web Page on the next page in FIG 4 should be seen If the Web Page of Fig 4 appears, you will now want to click “Moderator Network Configuration Page” to change the Flex’s IP Address to a new Static IP Address that you obtain from your Network Administrator. Initial Network Setup continued • obtain a new static IP address from your network administrator • enter the IP Address, Netmask Address, and Gateway Address into the appropriate edit boxes, then click the “Set New IP Address” button. • your browser will then give you an Invalid page error since the IP address of the page you were viewing has now changed • close the browser and bring up another browser screen • enter the new IP address including the moderator page (example: “192.168.1.160/mod/index.zhtml”) • enter the “mod” user and password (initially set to “mod”) • if desired, enter a new password in the password edit box. • click Change • the User/Password popup box will occur two times: enter the User Name “mod” with the new password each time • the updated Moderator Page should reflect the changes that you made • close the browser • remove the crossover cable and plug the network cable from your local network into the RJ-45 receptacle on the back of the Confer III Flex Chassis • make sure you can access the bridge over your network in the User Page and Moderator Page as before only from a PC on your network Confer III Flex Quick Start

Administrator Page Entry Note: you must purchase the “programmable conference entry code” option to obtain the password prior to entering the Administrator Mode, (Please contact Forum Sales at 972.680.0700 for information on how to upgrade to this option) • close the browser • Bring up the PC’s browser again and go to the following IP Address: “xxx.xxx.x.xxx/adm/index.zhtml” where xxx.xxx.x.xxx is the new static IP address assigned to your Flex bridge by your network administrator • A screen similar to FIG 6 should be seen: • enter “adm” in User name • enter Password (you must obtain this from Forum after purchasing the “Programmable Conference Entry Code” option) • press OK • the screen on the next page in FIG 7 should now be seen FIG 6 Confer III Flex Quick Start

Conf RM 1 User Operation: 1. Dial Lead number of PBX hunt group assigned to your Flex: (example: 972 680 0700) 1 972 680 0700 2. Analog 2-wire Port Wiring The Confer III Flex supports up to 32 ports of standard 2-wire POTS that connect to PBX/Central Office, or T1 Channel Bank analog 2-wire lines. The Confer III Flex ports appear as FXO interfaces to the PBX/CO lines (FXS interfaces) that provide ring signal. The first 24 ports (card1 – card3) of 2-wire interfaces are placed on the rightmost Amphenol connector (looking at the unit from the back) as shown in FIG 9. Ports 25-32 are found on the middle Amphenol connector. Pinouts are shown in FIG 10 for the ports 1-24 and in FIG 11 for ports 25-32. Analog 2-wire Disconnect Supervision • The Confer III Flex supports the following signals for disconnect supervision: • loop current loss • dial tone • reorder tone (fast busy) • dtmf A/D tone Optional T1 Interface The T1 Interface consists of an external T1 Channel Bank unit that connects to the Confer III Flex through Amphenol cables.
