Colour Trends Winter 2003 – 04Colour Harmonies
  • Peacefulness and calmness, harmony and nostalgia mark the colour scheme of autumn / winter 2003 / 04. Moods and feelings are to be awakened. Expressions like ‘emotion, illusion, memory or mystic’ keep appearing in the colour charts of the international trend agencies
slide4
The retro feeling - looking back to fashion of the last century - persists
  • We are not only fascinated again by the images of fashion of the 70’s and 80’s, but also by the origins of fashion
slide5
The colour themes of the new season are split up into four groups. Typical ‘COLOUR LIGHTS’ serve as models for all four

Nordic Lights
  • Minus degrees - snow air - thick - frost!
  • The colours are correspondingly cool and light
  • Beige tones with the tinge of grey, winter white variations, light blue and green
  • Shades - all as though covered with a misty veil
  • The materials either have a metallic - cold appearance or they are very cosily warm and soft.

  • Crackling chimney fire - ambers - old libraries - wood - emotions! Warm red and brown tones spring to mind
  • Typical wood tones such as birch, spruce or chestnut placed adjacent to burnt brick and rust colours. Bronze, antique gold or copper are added.
  • This atmospheric colour image is in harmony with materials which underline this look with ageing effects
