  2. Written summary • Sketch, drawing, final work due! I believe that we learned a lot of new techniques during the first semester. During the first semester we had many projects that we've worked on and have learned lots of new techniques. For example, one new skill that I learned was how to crosshatching, draw realistic clouds, shading, and how to use many different types of art materials like chalk and oil pastels. We’ve also done many projects like still life drawings, hand-scape, eye-fear &BAP, and abstraction.

  3. Unit 1: StillLife • For this project we had to try to draw vegetables and their shadows. But the vegetables were pit in a tricky position that the vegetables shadows connect. The steps I took to do this project was first I had to trace out the shapes of the vegetables , Next I put in the details and then I traced the shadows of the vegetables . After that I had to use chalk pastels to color in the final drawing of the vegetables. The hard part was using the pastels because they were messy and some of the colors were blinding with the others.

  5. Unit 2: Hand-scape • For this project we had to draw a hand inside of any landscape we wanted. The process for this assignment was first I had to think of the type of landscape I wanted to include in my drawing. Next I had to draw a hand in the landscape, the hand-scape could have been a part of the project or more noticeable. You could make the drawing more detailed to make it harder to see the hand in the project. The difficult part about this project was putting the hand in the landscape.

  7. Unit 3: Eye-Fear & BAP • For the 1st semester I learned how to draw a realistic eye and for this project I had to draw an eye with something that I feared inside of the pupil. The steps I took to complete this project is first I had find out what I fear, after that I started to draw my eye and lastly, added the fear inside the pupil. The hard part of this project was to draw the eye itself and the fear because we had to use pens instead of pencils. • For the BAP project we learned how to draw face proportions and for this project we had to draw an obscure drawing of a person. The steps I took to for this project was first find out what type of obscure features I wanted to use in my drawing. After that I started to draw my obscure person . When I finished the final details of the drawing I started to color in my drawing. The hard part for project was drawing the obscure features and the coloring because the materials I used were color water pencils.

  10. Unit 4: Abstraction • For this project I had to draw an abstraction drawing. The steps I took for this project is just start off by drawing a doodle which is a curvy line in our sketch book. We had to include noodling which is another way of decorating the doodle. When we were finished with that we picked out a part of the doodle that we wanted to in large and drew it on a large piece of paper. Then I picked out a color scheme I wanted to use to color in my doodle and lastly I traced the doodle with a black sharpie and I used oil pastels to color in the noodling .
