  2. Presenting/Organizing Data • Scientists organize their data by using tables and graphs • Visuals that make reading data, finding patterns or trends easier.

  3. Graphs • 3 major graphs: • Line graph • Bar graph • Pie graph

  4. Line Graphs • Used best for displaying data that change over a range • Usually has 2 variables: • Independent: choose the intervals and usually made with the x-axis • Dependent: depends on what happens in the experiment and usually made with the y-axis

  6. Bar Graphs • Useful when you want to compare data for several different individual items or events • Makes it clearer how large or small the difference in individual values are
