  3. Design • Integrated concept of clothesline and mechanical dryer. • Mechanical component is a dehumidifier. • Transportable • Used indoors or outdoors. • Aesthetically pleasing

  4. Process • Hang clothes on the inside racks provided. • Sun dries clothes when outdoors • Dehumidifier • Air intake • Dehumidified • Water collected. • Clothes dry

  5. Materials and Cost • Dehumidifier - $240.00 • 710 Watts • Aluminum - $270 • Used for central support and legs • Tarp Cover - $20 • Used for Covering • Aluminum Tubing - $25 Total Estimated Cost : $600

  6. Efficiency • Typical Dryer: 1800 – 5000 Watts • Our Dryer: 710 Watts • Costs per hour at 8.3 cents/kW-h: • Typical dryer – 14.9 cents – 41.5 cents • Our dryer – 5.9 cents • Saves time on ironing
