  2. Objective • In this lesson, you will learn about the Aryan and how they lived with the Harappans. • Also, you can learn where and how they lived and worshiped.

  3. Vocabulary • Vedas- In Hinduism, the ancient books of sacred songs on which much of its religious beliefs.

  4. A New World • The Aryans and Harappans had nothing in common. • They spoke two different languages.

  5. Aryans Shelter • The Aryans were used to moving a lot. • They often lived in small villages which were easier to move.

  6. The Vedas • The Vedas were the building blocks of Hinduism. • The Vedas held many hymns, or peaceful songs.

  7. Worshiping Gods • They believed the world is run by many gods and goddess. • They worshiped gods.

  8. Invasion • The story that the Aryans invaded India, is known to be true. • This has been proven to be a myth.

  9. Hinduism • Hinduism is a very old religion. • In fact, it was one of first invented! • Hinduism has 8 million followers. • It is very popular because it has been around for so long.

  10. Comparison The Aryans The Jewish • They more than 1 worshiped gods and goddesses. • The followed the Vedas. • They only worshiped one true God. • They worshiped the Torah.

  11. Summarize • As you can see, the Aryans and Harappans had nothing in common. Also, the Vedas are very important because they help follow the religion.
