  2. St. Maximus and St. Domadius were two brothers. • They’re dad was an emperor. His name was Walendianus. • They were a very goodChristian family.

  3. They asked their father to go to Nicene to pray. • They’re father agreed and sent with them soldiers and servants to guard them. • But the two brothers sent back the soldiers and monks so that they could stay with an old monk.

  4. They asked the monk to make them monks. • But the monk was afraid of their father so told them to go to St. Macarius.

  5. WHAT DID THEY DO IN NICENE? • While the two brothers were in Nicene they were healing sick people and taking care of them. • They also learned how to make sails for the ships and boats

  6. One of the followers of the emperor saw the name of Maximus and Domatius on the sails of a boat. Maximus Domatius

  7. The followers of the emperor immediately told the emperor where he could find his sons. • So the emperor sent their mother and sisters to see them. THEN WHAT??

  8. Mom : Maximus! Domatius! I missed you so much! Sister #1: Please come home.Maximus : I’m sorry but we can’t come back.Sister #2 : I don’t understand. Why not?Domatius: We want to become monks, so we wish to continue our lives here. Mom : Alright, take care. Sister #1: Bye Maximus and Domatius. When they all meet again…

  9. After their family left, the two brothers went to St. Macariusin the desert. • On their way God changed salty water into sweet water for them to drink. • While they were sleeping God sent a power that took them to St. Macarius. Notice that God ALWAYS provides for us when we’re in need ?

  10. St. Macarius taught them how to paint palm leaves and to live with the little amount of money they make. • They stayed in the desert of Egypt for 3 years before St. Macarius cane to visit again.

  12. St Macarius was so amazed! • The next morning he put on them the clothes of monks.

  13. After many years St. Maximus became sick and the angels and saints took him to heaven. • Three days later, St. Domatius also went to heaven. • They both had beautiful crowns on their heads in heaven.
