The Civic Integration Act(1.1.2007)
  • Integrations programs facilitated by municipalities
  • Free course market for civic integration programs
  • Integration candidate pays 270 euro for the integration course
  • Obligation to pass the integration exam within 3,5 to 5 years
  • Content of the exam: Knowledge of Dutch Society and Knowledge of Dutch Language at level A2 of CEF
  • Target group: age 18 - 65 newcomers with non-temporary goal, refugees, spiritual leaders, oldcomers with deficient language proficiency
  • Exemptions (medical reasons, diploma’s)
  • Incentives and financial disincentives
