  8. Riverina uses Mc2Community for our chat sessions. Usually held on a fortnightly to monthly basis. This is a Victorian Community provider and is free to access. We have a separate chat room for each course All rooms are secure and can only be accessed by invitation . http://mc2.vicnet.net.au/umt/communities.html CHAT FORUM

How do students access courses • There are three ways students can access their material; • Through our Web Page www.rcc.nsw.edu.au • Then choosing training menu then login • Through the Webtain home page www.webtrain.com.au then scrolling through login pages • Directly using the http:// address for their course e.g. http://rcc2.nsw.edu.au • All students receive a unique Username and Password

No Bells and Whistles • Our online training does not come with any fancy bells and whistles it is very much a learning environment. • The student must read all material prior to attempting tasks and assessments (material is printable) • Student comments have been positive to this form of learning as they feel they have achieved a lot by the end of their training

Students control their learning • All work is submitted to a tutor designated by the Riverina Community College • Students receive feedback from this tutor • (not via an automatic marking system) • Students can contact their Tutor or the Head of Course at any time for support and assistance • Can log on at any time and spend five minutes or hours working

  12. Twelve Months • To date we have enrolled over 175 people in Certificate IV Workplace and Assessment alone (12 months course) • 65 students in other programs ranging from 3 months to 12 months duration • Planning to use this media for traineeships in 2005
