Nikhef activities in SUSY searches • No leptons, jets, missing ET • Improvement of cuts for compressed SUSY spectra • One lepton, jets, missing ET • Data-driven background determination: combined fit to control samples • Two leptons, jets, missing ET • Data-driven determination of fake leptons, d0 significance fit • Searches with tau’s • Looking for a top  tau signal first

Searches for SUSY with 1 lepton, jets and missing ET One electron or muon, pT > 20 GeV Three or more jets, pT > 60, 30, 30 GeV Transverse mass between lepton and missing ET > 100 GeV Missing ET > 125 GeV Effective mass (= sum pT all objects) > 500 GeV Background from 3 control samples and data-driven fake lepton estimate Interpretation in mSUGRA: for msquark = mgluino: mgluino > 700 GeV @ 95% CL

  3. For the channel with no leptons: How does the default analysis perform if mLSP approaches mgluino for the decay Efficiency jet selection cuts LSP mass (GeV) How does this affect limits?
