  3. -car, -gar, -zar verbs • These AR verbs have a spelling change in the YO FORM ONLY • C  qu • Yo toqué (change) • Tú tocaste (no change!) • G  gu • Yo jugué Tú jugaste • Z  c • Yo almorcé Tú almorzaste P.S. Technically these are regular verbs. That’s why they still need accents!

  4. Fui Fuiste Fue Fuimos Fueron No accents! I went/ I was You went/ You were He went/ He was We went/ We were They went/They were Irregular PreteriteIR/SER

  6. Preterito Irregular: JUVI Verbs These verbs experiences spelling changes in the stem in the preterite AND Have their own set of endings AND No accents on JUVI verbs (because irregulars never have accents!)

  7. JUVI Endings All these verbs end in: • e • iste • o • imos • isteis (vosotros) • ieron *-eron for J verbs* No accents here!!!!!
