Software Vendor Responsibilities All EHR companies offer some form of training during the Deployment phase: Normally, it is not until after the training is when you notice that things are not coming together. A Clinical Health Check is a process your organization should complete within a year of your EHR implementation.

What Is… The Health Check or Assessment The objective of this program is to assist clients who has been on an EMR software (Greenway, Centricity, eClinicalworks etc.…)., but find themselves still struggling with how to implement the changes required by CMS, Government or create workable workflows within their practice etc… The overall goal is to help practices change their concept and thought process regarding the software by accepting change in their workflow. The key initiatives or this service are: Analyze our customers’ workflow Create benchmarks for each process Fabricate a systematic workflows using their EMR Software Ultimately generate revenue

  13. through this process, we will focus on: Evaluation – Evaluate the overall office processes to include the current roles of the staff and utilization of EHR system during daily operations. Analysis – Analyze the efficiency of the tools within the EHR system as it relates to the client's EHR vendors best practices. Recommendations – Consultation on the discoveries found during the analyzes as to find mitigation on broken processes. Implementation– Based on the recommendations agreed upon, we will incorporate the needed workflows as well as introduce new products and functionalities to move towards Meaningful Use Stage II compliance. (i.e. Patient portal, HL7 interfaces, etc...) Evaluation – Evaluate the overall office processes to include the current roles of the staff and utilization of the EHR system during daily operations as comparison to your initial evaluation.

  14. Benchmarking examples Check-In Process Has check in time improved? Are you checking insurance eligibility / driver license? Are demographics being updated? Confirmations call for next appointments Clinical Process Is face sheet being prepared prior to appointment? Are they capturing the Meaningful Use data? Are they using the e-prescribing? Is tasking/orders tracking used correctly? Provider Process Are they using a template? Are they completing note during the visit, after the patient leaves or later? Are they completing prescriptions, ordering labs and x-rays procedures? Are they scheduling the patient’s next appointment? Are interfaces working?
