  2. Causes and conditions • Narrowed arteries • High blood pressure • Past heart attack • Heart muscle disease • Defects from birth • Infection Blocked up blood flow resultin swelling(edema) and kidney failures as well. A person with CHF must not move extensively.

  3. Impact on patient • Failing heart = kidney problems in disposing water and sodium • Unable to exert themselves due to short breath and tiredness.
