  3. Daily Warm-up • Review the following words: surreptitious, vicarious, antipathy, diaphanous • Define the following words: lascivious, assuage, ubiquitous, prosaic

  4. Open-ended Introductions • Choose three prompts and write introductions using the three different works from your chart. • They must include answer to prompt and tie-in to theme.

  5. Revisiting Essays • Open-Ended: Abstract and Concrete • Prose: SIP (Satire, Irony, Paradox) • Poetry (Conclusions)

  6. Exit Ticket • Which essay is your weakest? What do you need to do to improve?

  7. Homework • Poetry (“Sow”) and/or Prose (The Crossing) Essays
