  1. USAP Resupply Study – Science Drivers What are the important science issues to consider within this study? Are there potential science opportunities to consider? To help stimulate discussion – consider, for instance: • Some activities in the McMurdo region may justify a continued presence in McMurdo Sound – e.g. the Dry Valleys LTER. • McMurdo acts as a hub for science in the interior – how critical is McMurdo as THE hub? Are there other ways to access interior sites? • Science might be enabled by a different approach to resupply – for instance, broader geographical or seasonal access; e.g. ship-launched temporary camps or traverses, direct air support to key inland sites. • What science issues and opportunities should be considered if USAP undergoes fundamental changes?
