  3. Questions 1, 2, & 3 (of 10) • For any story, what are the five elements of fiction? • What are the two types of characters in a story and what are their roles? • In ten words or less, what is the plot of Dead Poets Society?

  4. Questions 4, 5, & 6 (of 10) • In five words or less, what is one of the story’s themes? • Who is the protagonist and antagonist of the story and how do we know this? • Identify three symbolic scenes in the story and explain what each symbolized.

  5. Questions 7, 8, & 9 (of 10) • Identify the three W’s of the setting for the story. • From which point of view is the story told? • What is the moment in the story when the plot goes in a different direction?

  6. Question 10 (of 10) • What is the main type of conflict for the story and who does it involve? Character v. character, Character v. society? or character v. nature?

  7. Bonus Question • What is the translation for Carpe Diem and how does it apply to your life?
