Schedule • 8:15 - 9:30 Morning Routine Work • 9:30 - 10:15 Language Arts- Grammar/Writing • 10:15- 10:35- Recess • 10:35- 11:40 Math • 11:40 - 12:20 Lunch • 12:20 – 1:20 Language Arts - Comprehension • 1:20- 2:25 -Science, Social Studies, Art, Health • Special Programs • 12:20- 1:10(Mondays) Psychomotor • Thursdays • 10:40 - 11:30 Computer Lab (every other week) • 1:25 – 2:15 pm Science Lab • Tuesday dismissal 1:37pm • *Please consider this schedule when making any appointments

Homework Policies • Homework Mondays –Thursdays • Math worksheet • Read 20 minutes • Reading log • Comprehension worksheet • Multiplication Facts • Occasionally on Fridays – projects, Social Studies and Health • Time • Approximately 50 minutes • including the 20 minutes of reading • Unfinished class work will occasionally be added to homework • Homework agendas are to be signed by parents nightly • Please inform me if your child is having a difficult time understanding homework • Olympic Reading Challenge

  6. Classroom Policies • Rules - Respect • Safe environment to learn • Money Earning Chart -behavior and homework charted weekly • Rewards - • Hall Dollars • Auctions • School Student of the Month

  7. Parent Conferences • Please sign up for a conference • November 8-9th (minimum days) • November 13th – 16th (minimum days) • Except Tuesday, November 13th dismissal at 1:37 • Early morning conferences available if necessary • A reminder note will be sent home the day before your requested date.

  8. Special Events and Activities • Field Trips - No buses due to budget cuts • Skirball – November 8, 2012 • Science Camp – May • Griffith Observatory – • Fifth grade activities • Fundraising • Fundraising Meeting in Room 8 this Thursday at 7:30 am
