Before I came up with a solid idea for my documentary I decided upon four categories I would be interested in filming. These were ‘Bing Drinking’, ‘Young parenthood’, ‘Drugs’ and ‘A day in the life of..’. With these I created two questionnaires. One to decide on the type of documentary I would be filming and one to find out my target audience.
The problems I had to overcome were making sure we had a quiet space to interview and getting my two characters together at the same time. Since one (Hannah) is 8 months pregnant and the other (Becca) has a four month old child both their schedules are busy and finding time to interview them separately was tricky let alone finding a time where they were both free to film them together. We only had a hour to film them together late Saturday night, A hour Wednesday and were supposed to have a couple of hours Monday morning but due to weather conditions and busy schedules Hannah found it difficult to meet me and was unsure on times so we only ended up with half an hour filming time. But hopefully I managed to get all I needed.
