  1. Protect Your Workplace With a Fire Monitoring Solution A guide by GPP -

  2. Fire Protection System Are you responsible for ensuring fire safety in a hotel, high rise residential tower block or a public building? If the answer is Yes and you would like to provide accurate electronic reports showing tasks are completed in accordance with your Fire Policy our Proof of Presence Systems could provide you with the solution.

  3. Reporting on routine Fire monitoring activity • Fire Prevention checks to ensure fire exits and escape routes are not blocked. This includes opening fire doors to make sure there are no obstructions outside. • Check Fire Doors are not left open. • Check the fire extinguishers have not been moved and that their servicing is up to date. • Making sure nothing is covering any emergency exit break glass or fire alarm call point. • Guarding against the accumulation of rubbish, a known combustible fire risk.

  4. Reporting on routine Fire monitoring activity • Regular checks to prove that emergency lighting is working (inside and outside the building). • Checking fire and disaster alarms weekly. • Carrying out periodic inspections to ensure that all parts of the premises are safe. • Before locking up at night, make sure that there are no obvious dangers left behind, that no combustible material is lying around, all doors and windows are checked.

  5. Our Proof Of Presence System Benefits Our Proof of Presence solutions provide you with the ability to show that fire patrols are performed on time, that all relevant locations are visited, and incidents recorded. The systems provide management reports detailing all the statistical information required to provide proof fire patrols are performed on time, that all relevant locations are visited, and any incidents recorded. The report generator can also be configured to record weekly, quarterly, half yearly and annual checks or services of your fire alarm system, providing unalterable reports that identify who performed the task, the actual location or system component that was checked or serviced, a description of the task and a date and time stamp to confirm when the check or service was performed.

  6. How does the System Operate? Locations or fire alarm system components are identified by installing a Checkpoint with an appropriate description, e.g Main Lobby, Reception Fire Exit, Ballroom Emergency Call Point, etc. The fire marshal/patrol operative visits a location and reads the Touch Button using the Data Reader. The Data Reader automatically records the date and time the Checkpoint was read. A pre-defined task or action can now be performed with the Event Book.

  7. How does the System Operate? The event book can be programmed with pre-defined descriptions of tasks or actions that are routinely carried out by, e.g. Pass, Fail, Obstruction, Obstruction Removed We now know who performed the task, at what time and date, the location they visited or system component they checked along with the task or action performed. At the end of the patro/shift/day/week the Data reader is connected to Laptop or PC via a USB data transfer cable and the stored information is transferred into the Patrol Management softwares database. A selection of predefined reports can then be used to analyse the downloaded data.

  8. Sample PDF Report All selected reports can be viewed on screen, printed, exported to Excel or saved to PDF and emailed.
