  4. Thy Word is everlasting truth;How pure is every page!That holy Book shall guide our youthAnd well support our age. • Proverbs; Proverbs 4:1-9

  5. Separate yourself • A. From places of sin • B. From people of sin: 2 Cor. 6:14; 1 Cor. 15:33 • C. From the power of sin: Rom. 12:2; 1 John 2:15-17 • D. From the practice to sin: 1 Tim. 5:22; 2 Cor. 7:1; Prov. 6:27 • E. From all appearance of evil: 1 Thess. 5:22

  6. Surrender Yourself • Your time: Eph. 5:15-16 • Your speech: Eph. 4:29; Ruth 2:4 • Your thoughts: Prov. 4:23; 23:7; 2 Cor. 10:5; Phil. 2:5

Deny yourself • LUKE 9:23: "If any man will come after Me." • DECISION: We must make a choice. • "Let him deny himself." • DENIAL: We must be willing to sacrifice. • "And take up his cross daily." • DEDICATION: We must have continual commitment. • "And follow me." • DETERMINATION: We must follow the Lord wherever He leads.

  12. Develop yourself • Develop your own close spiritual relationship with God: Eccl. 12:1; Prov. 3:6-7; Isa. 40:28-31 • Worship God regularly. Heb. 11:25 • Study the word for yourself: Psalms 119:9; 1 Sam. 3:9; Prov. 23:23 • Train yourself. • Work for the Lord: Psalms 110:3
