  2. Academic Misconduct • Investigative Stage • Script passed to Assessment Office • Script passed to AIO/Module Organiser informed • AIO appraises case • Student called for interview OR script returned to marker for usual processing.

  3. Formal Interview • Assessment Office arranges formal interview (in accordance with Regulations) • AIO completes formal Interview notes at meeting • Outcomes (all recorded in SITS) • No further action • Poor academic practice • Refer to Academic Misconduct Panel

  4. Academic Misconduct Panel • Panel meeting established by Assessment office • Independant Chair (AIO from other Faculty) • Plus 2 Panel trained members from Faculty and Secretary. • Outcomes (recorded in SITS) • Not academic misconduct – work returned to marker • Academic misconduct found – regulatory penalty advised to Chair of Exam Board.

  5. Academic Integrity Forum First forum meeting took place in January 2013 • Chair – Professor Ian Kinchin (Head of Dept of Higher Education) • Members: • FR’s, AD(LT)’s, 2 AIO’s from each faculty, SPLASH rep • (FHMS – Deborah Lawson/Shirley Price/KikkiBodman-Smith/Claire Moore) • Purpose: - • to raise/discuss issues around academic integrity • to ensure consistancy across University • to provide support to AIO’s/Panel members
