  1. ArtificialLeather It cannot be determined when and were artificial leather was invented. However, roughly 100 years ago, the case and surface of instrument handles and cameras were covered with coated textiles, which looks like a smooth leather surface. Since then, the Artificial leather industry came into existence. The global Artificial Leather market in 2015 was valued at 22.13 billion USD and it is projected to reach 33.54 billion USD by 2021, at a CAGR of 7.20% from 2016 to 2021. Since leather is an expensive material and, because of the grain structure and natural markings and the irregular outer contour of leather skin, the wastage cost incurred during the cutting process is very high. Therefore, attempts were constantly made to develop materials that mimic the texture of naturalleather. As time passes, the manufacturers succeeded very well in imitating a leather surface. Thus, Artificial leather—known colloquially as faux leather, imitation leather, and pleather—has been viewed as having several advantages over real leather. Artificial leather is used in almost all Industries and lifestyle related products: Footwear, Fashion, furniture, or vehicle upholstery. It can approximate the appearance and durability of real leather at a lower cost, and its production is far less labor-intensive. Artificial leather offers a more polished appearance than natural leather, as it is creasing resistance, affordable than natural leather, waterproof, as well as alkali, and acid-resistant. Also, The manufacturer of Faux leathersare quite arranged when it comes to produce theleather. The use of Artificial leather was not just about saving money as, with the increasing awareness about cruelty to animals, many people start opting for more humane alternative leather products. To help and create a sustainable environment and in order to save the animals, it was advisable to switch to eco-friendly and cruelty-free leather as time goes on. Hence, very well known brands has started opting for Faux leather in their high end lifestyle products. Artificial leather is often a lot thinner than real leather and much more lightweight which is great for fashion as it makes it potentially easy to workwith. There are also areas where artificial leather is better suited than real leather, such as motorcycle seats, the outer cushions on the boat, or the seats of jet skis. It is used artificial as it is better able to withstand the constant contact with sunlight and water, which would damage real leather. It is also used where surfaces are needed to be replaced frequently or cleaned with stronger cleaningagents. Consequently, Artificial leatherhas become very popular nowadays in the leather market because it looks identical to real leather. It has a lot more flexibility with positive effects on the environment, unlike the leatherindustry. Artificial Leather Manufacturer and Exporters inIndia
